Former Wales and British & Irish Lions speedster Louis Rees-Zammit is reportedly set to sign for the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL.

The 23-year-old stunned the rugby fraternity earlier this year by announcing his switch to gridiron and following a rigorous 10-week training camp as part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway program, Rees-Zammit engaged in discussions with multiple NFL franchises.

According to Bleacher Report‘s NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Friday is slated for the confirmation of his deal with the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Chiefs.  It is understood he will be deployed as a running back or wide receiver.

The move aligns Rees-Zammit with none other than the NFL’s premier quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, enhancing the Chiefs’ formidable roster, while the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, and Denver Broncos also expressed interest.
