Aphelele Fassi will spend the 2026/27 season playing in Japan after reaching an agreement with the Sharks, who confirmed the move on Friday.
The Springbok fullback has renewed his contract with the Durban-based franchise, with the new deal allowing him to take up a season-long stint at an as-yet undisclosed Japanese club following his international commitments with the South Africa national rugby union team.
