Rassie Erasmus has explained that Faf de Klerk’s absence from the Springboks squad for the Nations Championship is part of the coaching team’s World Cup preparations.

South Africa open their 2026 Test season with a clash against England at Ellis Park after defeating the Barbarians 80-31 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.
