Paarl Boys High cruised to a massive victory at the Porterville Festival, while there were also wins for Affies and Kearsney as schools rugby returned to action.

Noordheuwel also got revenge by beating Outeniqua 28-19 at the Kwagga Sportsday, having lost 18-14 to the same opponents in their centenary last year.

In KwaZulu-Natal, Michaelhouse were beaten 10-7 by Helpmekaar, while Kearsney College claimed a 16-14 win against Maritzburg College.

At the Grens Festival in the Eastern Cape, Queen’s beat Sterling 29-3, Hudson Park powered to 46-7 win against Hangklip and Dale suffered a 22-20 defeat to Cambridge.

Meanwhile, Affies kicked their season off in style with a 33-10 win against Diamantveld.
