Jordan Hendrikse will start for the Lions in the derby against the Sharks just a few days after his transfer to Kings Park was announced.

The Sharks this week announced Hendrikse and Lions loose forward Emmanuel Tshituka as new signings for next season.

However, the Lions have backed both players to face the Sharks at Ellis Park on Saturday, with Hendrikse starting at flyhalf, while Tshituka will earn his 50th cap from the bench.

Hendrikse’s return to the starting lineup sees Sanele Nohamba shift back to scrumhalf in the only change to the backline from the side that faced the Vodacom Bulls.

There are two further changes in the pack, as PJ Botha replaces Jaco Visagie at hooker, while JC Pretorius switches in at openside flank for Hanru Sirgel.
