On the eve of this past weekend’s opening Test against England, the Springboks had to cope with the withdrawal of two key forwards, Siya Kolisi and Eben Etzebeth.
The fact that Etzebeth is contending with another head knock when he has a history with concussion issues will be cause for some concern. It’s highly likely that he will not be rushed back to face Scotland.
Kolisi, meanwhile, is believed to be battling with a hamstring strain, and it would be no surprise if Rassie Erasmus keeps him on the sidelines as a precaution.
