Earlier this year, Rondebosch Boys’ High lock Sebastian Vermeulen – known as the tallest rugby schoolboy – made headlines once again after some after he was pictured alongside Springbok giant RG Snyman, almost making him look small.

Vermeulen weighs 140kg and stands 2.06m tall, and he understandably caught the attention of supporters at the Pretoria Boys’ High 125th Anniversary Easter Rugby Festival back in April.

The 18-year-old is said to be able to bench press 120kg, and can squat 180kgs.
