The Blitzboks have jetted off to Europe to compete in the final two Sevens World Championship tournaments, in Valladolid and Bordeaux.
Coming off a memorable triumph in Hong Kong last month, the Blitzboks will face Great Britain, Kenya and Australia in Pool A at Estadio Jose Zorrilla this weekend.
Ricardo Duarttee, also a sweeper and no stranger to the national setup, has been called up to the travelling group that departed for Europe on Sunday.
Duarttee was a member of the victorious squads in Cape Town and Perth, where he kicked the match-winning conversion against Fiji, as the Blitzboks romped home
