Ulster player ratings: Forwards ’embarrassed’ as ‘lightweight’ internationals overwhelmed despite Springboks hopeful’s best efforts

Following a 59-26 defeat to Montpellier in the EPCR Challenge Cup final at San Mames Stadium on Friday, here are the player ratings for Ulster.

15 Mike Lowry: Some nice footwork to weave his way through a well-organised Montpellier defence in the first half, but didn’t get too many chances to stretch his legs after that and constantly struggled in the air. 4

14 Robert Baloucoune: Chosen ahead of Werner Kok for his first game since the Six Nations, Baloucoune had some success in the air, but he looked rusty until the second period, when he scored a fine try.
