The Lions have reportedly secured the services of Stormers and Western Province flyhalf Kade Wolhuter on a permanent basis.

He featured for a Lions XV in a training match at Ellis Park on Thursday, and according to Netwerk24, has signed a two-year deal with the Johannesburg outfit.

The on-loan Wolhuter will extend his stay in Joburg after initially linking up with The Pride on a short-term basis following a serious knee injury.

It is understood that the 22-year-old will fill the gap left by Jordan Hendrikse’s move to the Sharks next season.

“It’s nice here in Johannesburg and nice to get playing time again, after 11 months away from the field. This is now the beginning of a new chapter,” Wolhuter is quoted by Netwerk24.
