Cheslin Kolbe could be set to spend a month on the sidelines after suffering an injury during his stint with Japan’s Suntory Sungoliath.
Kolbe missed Suntory’s 62-0 victory against Black Rams, while the rest of the World Cup-winning Springboks were in action in Japan’s League One last weekend
According to reputable Japan-based journalist Rich Freeman, the Springbok outside back has suffered a hand injury, which could keep him out for anywhere between four to six weeks.

Gareth Anscombe forced to leave club before playing a game and I am now hearing on the grapevine that Sam Cane could be out for 10 weeks (back) and Cheslin Kolbe for 4-6 weeks (hand).#rugbyjp pic.twitter.com/y24JmiATZD

While Kolbe’s injury will come as a massive blow to Suntory Sungoliath, who are third on the table after winning six out of eight fixtures, the good news is that he should be fit for the series between the Springboks and Ireland in July.
Suntory Sungoliath are also set to be without Sam Cane for around 10 weeks after the All Blacks captain suffered a reported back injury.
