Steven Kitshoff is set to return to Cape Town Stadium for the first time since leaving the DHL Stormers after being named in Ulster’s 30-man squad for their two-match Vodacom URC tour.

Kitshoff, who captained the DHL Stormers to back-to-back Vodacom URC finals, winning one, is set to face his former side as part of Ulster’s mini-tour of South Africa.

Ulster will take on the Stormers at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday, 30 March, after opening their tour against the Sharks this Saturday in Durban.

It will be the first time that Kitshoff takes on the Stormers, where he started his professional career as a teenager in 2011.

The two-time World Cup-winning loosehead prop is part of an experienced Ulster pack, which also includes Cape Town-born Ireland hooker Rob Herring and veteran Ireland lock Iain Henderson.

Ulster are also bringing an experienced and settled backline to South Africa, with Ireland internationals John Cooney (scrumhalf), Billy Burns (flyhalf), James Hume, Stuart McCloskey (both centres), Mike Lowry and Rob Balocoune (outside backs) all making the trip to the Republic.
