Ireland scored four tries but were made to work for a bonus-point victory against Wales in Dublin on Saturday, and third consecutive win of the 2024 Six Nations.

Andy Farrell’s charges now need two wins to secure unprecedented back-to-back Grand Slams after beating the Welsh 31-7 at the Aviva Stadium.

A late Tadhg Beirne try secured the bonus point for the hosts, whose 11th successive victory of the competition equalled the record held by England, who set it between 2015-17.

Ireland go to Twickenham to play England in a fortnight with Wales looking for their first win in this year’s tournament at home to France.
