The 2024 edition of the annual Easter Festivals returned in style, with Paarl Boys High battling past hosts KES, while Jeppe built on their stunning win over Grey College.

The opening day of the KES Easter Festival saw Paarl Boys claim a hard-fought 22-7 win against the hosts, having gone into the break with a 19-7 lead.

Jeppe, who stunned Grey College at the North-South Festival, thrashed Queen’s College 47-6. Fullback Sanele Simelane, brother of Stormers back Wandisile, scored two of Jeppe’s seven tries.

Bishops also won at KES, beating Dale College 47-14.

At the St John’s Easter Festival, Boland Landbou beat Maritzburg College 32-17 on day one, but were narrowly beaten 17-14 by Hilton on day two.

Rondebosch High enjoyed a good couple of days at the Kearsney Easter Festival, claiming wins over Westville (31-10) and hosts Kearsney (22-8).
