Hacjivah Dayimani will reportedly leave South Africa next season to join Springbok captain Siya Kolisi at French giants Racing 92.

A standout for the DHL Stormers since moving to Cape Town from the Lions in 2021, Dayimani has been superb in the team’s run to back-to-back Vodacom URC finals in 2022 and 2023.

Despite Dayimani’s excellent form at No 8 and blindside flank, he has been overlooked by the Springbok coaches and was not involved in the first alignment camp of the year in Cape Town in March, where the likes of Mpilo Guemede, Elrigh Louw and Cameron Hanekom were in attendance.

According to French publication L’Equipe, Dayimani’s situation has caught the attention of Racing 92, who have convinced the loose forward to put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the option of a third year in Paris.

Dayimani will become Racing’s fourth signing for next season, as Stuart Lancaster has already signed former England captain Owen Farrell and French internationals Romain Taofifenua and Demba Bamba.

The Stormers star could link up with Bok captain Kolisi, who has played 13 games for Racing since moving to Paris after the 2023 World Cup.
