Sbu Nkosi misses out as the Cheetahs welcomed captain Victor Sekekete back for the Challenge Cup playoff against Clermont on Saturday.

Nkosi, who made his Cheetahs debut in the SA Cup, has been ruled out of the last-16 clash in Clermont as he could not be registered to play in the Challenge Cup, due to joining the Cheetahs too late in the season.

The Cheetahs have named former Shimlas star Nkula on the left wing in Nkosi’s place, while retaining most of the team that has done duty in the SA Cup.

Nkula is joined by Daniel Kasende and fullback Tapiwa Mafura in the outside backs, while Munier Hartzenberg continues to play in midfield alongside Reinhardt Fortuin.

Veteran scrumhalf Ruan Pienaar forms the halfback combination with flyhalf George Lourens.

In the forwards, the Cheetahs have welcomed captain Sekekete back from a short loan spell with Ospreys in Wales. Hooker Louis van der Westhuizen will win his 50th cap for the Cheetahs.
