Top 14 giants Montpellier is reportedly keen to secure the services of one of New Zealand rugby’s premier backline threats.

According to French outlet Rugby Rama, the French outfit have eyes on All Blacks winger Sevu Reece as a potential addition to their squad.

A key figure in seven Super Rugby triumphs for the Crusaders, the 27-year-old faces contract expiration with New Zealand Rugby in 2024.

After a knee injury sidelined him for much of 2023, including the Rugby World Cup, the 23-Test Reece may have a tough path back into the All Blacks’ starting lineup.

Montpellier’s interest remains uncertain, but a move would reunite Reece with former teammate George Bridge, who joined the club in 2022.
