The Springboks’ dramatic 29-24 third Test victory over the All Blacks at FNB Stadium came at a heavy cost, as superstar Cheslin Kolbe suffered a broken jaw early in the contest.

Pressed into service at fullback to replace the injured Damian Willemse, Kolbe’s evening lasted just nine minutes before he was forced off following a heavy collision while attempting to tackle New Zealand loose forward Luke Jacobson.
