Rassie Erasmus has once again pushed the boundaries of rugby’s rulebook, but the Springbok coach’s front-row surprise won’t be travelling with him beyond the ongoing Greatest Rivalry Series.
Erasmus stunned New Zealand before last Saturday’s second Test in Cape Town when he completely changed his starting front row just an hour before kick-off.
Gerhard Steenekamp, Deon Fourie and Thomas du Toit were promoted from the bench to replace Ox Nche, Malcolm Marx and Wilco Louw, who had been named as the starters on Monday of last week.
