On Thursday, Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus named flank Ben-Jason Dixon in the starting line-up to face Italy in the upcoming test in Turin.
The 27-year-old has been a key part of the Stormers forward pack and was part of the squad that won the inaugural United Rugby Championship. In 2024, he impressed coach Rassie Erasmus with his on-field work rate and has since earned his debut against Wales at Twickenham.
After representing the Springboks in five test matches, scoring one try against Portugal, it has been nearly a year since he last pulled the Green and Gold over his head.
