Rassie Erasmus’ Springboks are set to embark on a challenging end-of-year tour in 2025 according to reports.

South Africa ended last year with an 11-year first as they went unbeaten in November, defeating Scotland, England and Wales on tour.

However, they face arguably a more tricky November if their reported fixture list is accurate.

Springboks Tests in 2025

With the British and Irish Lions touring Australia this year, the Springboks are set to host Italy and Georgia in July before they launch their Rugby Championship title defence.

They will host the Wallabies and tour New Zealand during the Championship while facing Argentina at home and possibly London with negotiations still ongoing to confirm the latter.

South Africa will then head north in November as per usual and according to Rapport, they will kick off their tour against Wales in Cardiff going up against Warren Gatland’s charges for the third time in 24 months.

That will be followed by the confirmed Test match against Les Bleus, the first meeting between the two nations since the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals in 2023.

On November 15, South Africa are set to face Italy for the third time in 2024 according to the report before completing 2025 with a clash against Ireland.

The Springboks and Ireland shared the spoils of the two-Test series in July in 2024 and the clash at the Aviva Stadium will almost surely be viewed as a belated series decider.

Meanwhile, the report adds that the host stadiums for South Africa’s home Test matches will be decided upon at a SARU meeting in early February with Ellis Park and Cape Town Stadium considered as early favourites for the Wallabies matches.

Loftus Versveld and Kings Park are also likely to host Bok homes while Mbombela and Nelson Mandela Bay are hopeful.
