The Cheetahs have signed a deal with star UCT Ikeys winger
Ntokozo Makhaza.

Makhaza, 23, was a standout for the Cape Town students in their
44-21 win over Maties in Monday night’s Varsity Cup final in Stellenbosch. He
scored a brace of tries and slotted all his kicks at goal for a personal haul
of 32 points.

Makhaza was duly awarded with the Player that Rocks accolade
for the final and also scooped the Varsity Cup Player of the Year and Backline
Player of the Year awards.

It was the second consecutive year that Makhaza was crowned Varsity
Cup Player of the Year.

A statement from the Cheetahs read: “The Cheetahs are thrilled to announce the signing of one of South Africa’s most exciting young backline talents, Ntokozo Makahaza. The 23-year-old wing will join the side ahead of the 2025 Currie Cup season.

“Being born in Bethlehem in the Free State, Ntokozo
Makahaza’s move to the Cheetahs is something of a homecoming, and the Cheetahs
look forward to welcoming Ntokozo to Bloemfontein.”
