Gregor Townsend has drafted in backs trio Ali Price, Cam Redpath and Ross McCann to his Scotland squad ahead of their upcoming Six Nations clash with England.
Scotland come into the game with their tail between their legs after a tough 32-18 loss to Ireland in round two, but they have not lost to England since 2020.

Whilst it’s good news for the trio, fellow backs Matt Currie and George Horne have picked up injuries whilst on URC duty last weekend. Edinburgh man Currie was concussed in his side’s loss to Zebre, while Glasgow number nine Horne sustained a facial injury.
Alexander Masibaka has returned to his club Soyaux-Angouleme, who play in PROD2.

Price and Redpath have both tasted victory in the Calcutta Cup during their international careers, with Redpath notably making his debut in the surprise win in 2021. McCann is still fairly new to the Test stage, however, after only making his debut during their recent summer tour.
Elsewhere in the Scotland squad, Finn Russell and Darcy Graham both remain with the squad ahead of the England clash, and are understood to be in contention to feature at the Allianz. The pair were involved in a horrific head-on-head collision early into the Ireland Test and were later removed from the pitch. Russell did pass his HIA after the incident, but the Scotland medical team deemed him unfit to return to the pitch.
“Darcy Graham and Finn Russell have remained in the squad,” a statement read. “Both have been progressing through the World Rugby concussion protocols since the Ireland game with a view to returning to full training before the end of the week.”
