All Blacks star Jordie Barrett headlines the eight-man shortlist for the 2025 EPCR Investec Player of the Year, along with two of his Leinster teammates.
Barrett could become the first All Blacks player to win the award as Leinster aim to end their trophy drought in 2025, having lost the last three finals.
The 28-year-old has featured in all six of Leinster’s matches in the competition, scoring two tries and assisting a further two.
Nominees for the 2025 EPCR Player of the Year
Barrett also produced a Man of the Match performance in the victory over the Glasgow Warriors as the Irish province scored eight tries in the 52-0 win.
He is nominated for the award, which is open to a public vote, along with teammates Jamison Gibson-Park and Caelan Doris.
The eight nominees all come from the Champions Cup quarter-finalists, with England rising star Henry Pollock the only nominee from Premiership club Northampton Saints.
The livewire back-rower has crossed for six tries in six matches for the Saints and has enjoyed a rich run of form since making his Test debut during the Autumn internationals.
Defending champions Toulouse have two nominees in full-back Thomas Ramos and flanker Jack Willis with last season’s winner Antoine Dupont missing out due to injury.
Fellow French club, Bordeaux, also have two nominees in the form of outside back Damian Penaud and scrum-half Maxime Lucu.
Penaud earns nomination after breaking the record for the most tries scored in a single season of the Investec Champions Cup, crossing for a mind-blowing 12 tries and has assisted a further five. He scored six of those tries in the pool-stage match against the Sharks.
Investec Player of the Year Nominees: Damian Penaud (Bordeaux), Jamison Gibson-Park, Caelan Doris, Jordie Barrett (all Leinster), Thomas Ramos, Jack Willis (both Toulouse), Maxime Lucu (Bordeaux) and Henry Pollock (Northampton Saints).
