Star fly-half Finn Russell has overcome his injury concern to make Bath’s starting XV for tomorrow’s Premiership final against Leicester Tigers.
The British and Irish Lions tourist was a slight doubt for the final after limping off in last Friday’s semi-final win over Bristol, but he has been deemed fully fit to feature in the number 10 jersey.
Elsewhere, Van Graan has again put his trust in a 6/2 split from the bench.
Finn Russell fit for Premiership final as Johann van Graan mixes up bomb squad
The Bath backline remains unchanged from last weekend’s win over Bristol Bears, meaning Tom de Glanville again starts at 15 with Joe Cokanasiga and Will Muir on the wings. Max Ojomoh and Scotland international Cameron Redpath link up in midfield, with Russell again joining skipper Ben Spencer in the halves.
The two changes to the starting XV from the 34-20 win last time out both come in the pack, with Miles Reid coming in for Alfie Barbeary at number eight, while Springboks prop Thomas du Toit swaps with British and Irish Lions tourist Will Stuart, who will total 100 caps for Bath should he enter the fray.
Reid forms a strong back-row alongside Guy Pepper and Ted Hill. Charlie Ewels partners Quinn Roux in the engine room, with the Ireland international making his 50th appearance for the club.
Du Toit reunites with club icon Tom Dunn and England international Beno Obano in the front-row.
Van Graan has once again named a strong bench, with Stuart and Barbeary joining Niall Annett, Francois van Wyk, Ross Moloney and Josh Bayliss in the bomb squad. Youngsters Tom Carr-Smith and Ciaran Donoghue round off the 23-man squad as the backs on the bench.
