New Zealand Rugby (NZR) have announced the All Blacks’ full 2025 Test schedule, with the highlight being the confirmation of their clash against the Springboks at Eden Park.

The All Blacks’ highly anticipated showdown with the world champions is set to take place at the spiritual home of New Zealand rugby on September 6 as part of the Rugby Championship schedule.

That Rugby Championship encounter will be the first of back-to-back Tests between the All Blacks and Springboks on New Zealand soil as the rivalry between the old foes is set to resume a week later when they meet at Sky Stadium in Wellington on September 13.

Boks’ first visit to Eden Park since 2013

The clash between New Zealand and South Africa at Eden Park will be the first time that the All Blacks host their arch rivals at the famous venue since 2013 when the home side clinched a 29-15 victory.

The NZR have also confirmed that the All Blacks’ third and final home Test will be a Bledisloe Cup encounter which will also take place at Eden Park on September 27.

That will be New Zealand’s last Test on home soil for the year but the venues for their mid-year internationals against France have also been confirmed.

It is the first time since 2018 that Les Bleus visit New Zealand and they will resume hostilities with the All Blacks at the Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin on July before the sides face off at Sky Stadium in Wellington seven days later for the second Test of the series.

That showdown in Wellington will be a momentous occasion as New Zealand’s women’s team the Black Ferns will also be part of the matchday programme when they take on Australia in the curtain raiser to the clash between the All Blacks and Les Bleus.

New Zealand and France will then head to Hamilton where the final match of the three-Test series is set to take place at FMG Stadium Waikato on September 19.

The potential series decider will be a historic occasion with Les Bleus playing a Test in Hamilton for the first time since first touring New Zealand in 1961.

All Blacks head coach Scott Robertson is delighted that his team’s home Test schedule has been confirmed.

“Playing at home and representing your country in front of New Zealanders is always special and especially so against three of our most traditional rivals,” he said.

“France, South Africa and Australia will each bring unique challenges and that’s exciting for us as we continue to build our game in 2025.”
