Fit-again Malcolm Marx makes his long-awaited return to start for the Springboks against Wales, according to SARugbmag.co.za readers.

With a growing injury list that includes Bok heavies Steven Kitshoff, Lood de Jager and Jean Kleyn, readers were polled on which tight forwards to start against Wales at Twickenham on 22 June.

Malcolm Marx, set to make his return to play for the first time since suffering a knee injury at the 2023 Rugby World Cup, beat out fellow Bok veteran hooker Bongi Mbonambi with 15% of the votes.

Ox Nche was the leading candidate to at loosehead prop (17%) and Frans Malherbe completed the front row, winning the No 3 jersey with 12% of the vote.

Lock Eben Etzebeth caught the most clicks to earn his 120th Springbok cap, packing down next to Franco Mostert (16%) in a tight five made up of two-time World Cup winners.
