Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu stole the show as SARugbymag.co.za readers’ standout performer after helping the Springboks steamroll Portugal in Bloemfontein.

In a poll after the final whistle, 37% of fans decided that Feinberg-Mngomezulu had the greatest influence as the Boks converted a 29-7 half-time lead to beat Os Lobos 64-21 on Saturday.

Feinberg-Mngomezulu came on early in the second half to play a key role in two of Makazole Mapimpi’s three tries at Free State Stadium, and extended his 100% goal-kicking success rate in Test rugby with five conversions.

KEO: Sacha on a ‘magical carpet ride’

The 22-year-old playmaker edged out DHL Stormers teammate BJ Dixon (22%) in the poll – the flanker notching a first try for his country in his second appearance – and two-time World Cup winner Mapimpi (10%).

Saturday’s Test was the final clash of the July schedule for the world champions before Rassie Erasmus confirms a 30-man squad for the 2024 Rugby Championship.
