The Springboks’ loose forward stocks have been boosted with Vincent and Emmanuel Tshituka reportedly now eligible for national selection after obtaining South African citizenship.

According to a Rapport article, the brothers originally from the DRC received their SA passports two weeks ago, clearing the way for potential Springbok callups.

The Tshitukas, now contracted to the Sharks, both came through at the Lions where they emerged as standout performers. Vincent, 25, joined the Sharks in 2022, while 24-year-old Manu followed suit in July.

Both ball-carriers are known for an explosive blend of physicality and athleticism, making them strong contenders for higher honours.

Although Rassie Erasmus has a wealth of back-row options to choose from, the availability of the Tshitukas will not go unnoticed.

Rapport also speculates that while Vincent has drawn interest from several top French clubs, his recent citizenship could keep him in the Republic until at least 2025, increasing his chances of wearing the green and gold.
