Sanele Nohamba clinched the Lions’ Player of the Year award after a 2023-24 season that saw the versatile playmaker emerge as a pivotal figure in the Vodacom URC.
The URC Player of the Season covered both scrumhalf and flyhalf with distinction for the Pride, setting a new benchmark for performance and versatility.
Alongside Nohamba, Springbok fullback Quan Horn made significant waves, securing the International Backline Player of the Year and the prestigious Players’ Player of the Year.

Loose forward Jarod Cairns further enhanced the season’s accolades by claiming the Currie Cup Player of the Year title.
Tighthead prop RF Schoeman landed the Junior Player of the Year and Breakthrough Player awards.
With five Boks emerging from their ranks in 2024 and reaching three domestic finals, the Lions demonstrated their growing potential under head coach Ivan van Rooyen’s leadership.
