Kade Wolhuter will start at flyhalf as the Lions have recalled a handful of URC stars for their Currie Cup clash with the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on Saturday.

Having recovered from the injury that kept him sidelined for the Currie Cup to date, Wolhuter will start for a Lions team that has been significantly strengthened by the return of several URC regulars.

Morgan Naude starts at loosehead prop with regular captain Jaco Visgie back to lead the side against the defending champions.

Asenathi Ntlabakanye, JC Pretorius and Marius Louw have all been named on the bench and will hope to provide an impact when they come onto the field.

The other significant change to the lineup sees 21-year-old Tiaan Wessels get the opportunity to impress at No 8, in a back row with Siba Qoma and Renzo du Plessis.
