JD Schickerling will earn his 50th DHL Western Province cap as several Springboks and DHL Stormers stars have been included in the 23 to face Griquas in Kimberley on Friday.
There are 14 changes to the starting XV for WP’s final match of the 2024 Currie Cup at Griqua Park, following last week’s win against the Pumas in Stellenbosch.
Fullback Luke Burger is the only player to retain his spot in the run-on team, with Dan du Plessis taking over the captaincy and No 12 jersey in a new-look midfield with outside centre Suleiman Hartzenberg.
Scrumhalf Paul de Wet and flyhalf Jurie Matthee form the halfback pairing while speedsters Angelo Davids and Leolin Zas complete the back three.
