Paarl Gimnasium claimed successive wins in the annual Interschools for the first time in a decade, while unbeaten Paul Roos set up a showdown with Grey College.

The Gimmies powered to a 30-8 victory over Paarl Boys High at the Faure Street Stadium on Saturday – their second biggest win in the Interschools since 1915.

It was also the first time since 2014 that Paarl Gim claimed successive wins over Boishaai.

The impressive margin of victory is showcased in the history of this rivalry, with an average winning margin of just five points in the last 100 matches, while the average points-difference between the two schools is 2.75 points since 2014.

Meanwhile, Paul Roos beat Boland Landbou 59-20 to stay unbeaten ahead of next week’s clash against Grey College in Stellenbosch.
