Springbok playmaker Damian Willemse is reportedly set to call the shots at flyhalf when the DHL Stormers and Edinburgh clash in the Scottish capital on Saturday.
According to a Netwerk24 report, Willemse is expected to run out in the No 10 jersey at Hive Stadium, with fellow Bok world champion Warrick Gelant lined up to make his first start of the 2024-25 Vodacom URC season at fullback.
John Dobson is set to swap Willemse in for Jurie Matthee at flyhalf to boost the Stormers’ attacking options. Gelant is then expected to fill the gap at 15, giving the team an additional edge at the back.

Matthee played a key role in last week’s bonus-point victory over Zebre in Parma, as his goal-kicking success kept the scoreboard ticking. Willemse, though, struggled from the kicking tee after Matthee was substituted, managing just one successful kick out of three.
However, Dobson’s tactical adjustment is understood to ensure as many Stormers game-drivers are on the field, enhancing the team’s overall attacking potential.
