The Cape Town schools derby between Bishops College and SACS witnessed ugly scenes as a fracas broke out between players and parents.

In wet and rainy conditions, Bishops edged SACS 12-10 in a thrilling encounter at the Piley Rees Field on Saturday.

However, based on a video from the match shared on social media, it appears there was a physical exchange between attending parents and players, after Bishops scored a try.

SACS were leading 10-5 and defended superbly in the second half, only for Bishops to snatch a late win with a converted try in the final play.

Bishops will finish their season with next weekend’s second leg of their annual derby against Rondebosch, who defeated Wynberg 19-7 on Saturday.
