Former England international Nick Easter has picked five Springboks in a Perfect XV of players he played alongside or against.

Easter, who played 54 Tests for England between 2007 and 2016, named his XV in an interview with Planet Rugby.

The XV includes five Springboks, all part of the 2007 World Cup-winning side that beat Easter’s England in the final in Paris.

Bryan Habana and Fourie du Preez are in the backline, while Juan Smith, Victor Matfield and Bismarck du Plessis power the pack.

Habana is joined in the outside backs by former England fullback Jason Robinson and Welsh speedster Shane Williams, while Du Preez forms the halfback combination with Dan Carter.

David Pocock and Georgian legend Mamuka Gorgodze are in the back row alongside Smith.

Matfield forms the second row with former England enforcer Simon Shaw, while Du Plessis is flanked in the front row by Andrew Sheridan and former All Blacks tighthead Carl Hayman.
