An experienced and formidable member of the Vodacom Bulls pack is reportedly on the radar of Premiership sides Gloucester and Bristol Bears.

According to RugbyPass’ Neil Fissler, the Premiership clubs are said to be vying for tighthead prop Mornay Smith’s signature ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Despite having a year left on his Bulls contract, the 26-year-old could be set for an early exit, with the Pretoria outfit understood to be willing to release him following Carlu Sadie’s impending arrival from French club Bordeaux.

Smith, a seasoned campaigner with almost 70 caps for the Bulls since his debut in 2018, has seen limited game time this season.

His lone appearance so far this season came in the Bulls’ Vodacom URC victory over Edinburgh in September, although Smith was this week included in a 34-man tour squad to Ireland and England.
