SA-born Scotland internationals Pierre Schoeman and Duhan van der Merwe will tackle the DHL Stormers for Edinburgh at Hive Stadium on Saturday.

Schoeman and Van der Merwe start at loosehead prop and left winger, respectively, in the round 4 Vodacom URC clash in the Scottish capital.

Van der Merwe returns to the back three, joining Darcy Graham and Wes Goosen as Edinburgh seeks their first win of the 2024-25 URC campaign.

Schoeman continues his solid form alongside hooker Patrick Harrison, who starts for the first time this season after featuring off the bench in against the Lions in Johannesburg last week.

TEAM: Bok champs to spark Stormers

Head coach Sean Everitt has made six changes in total, including the return of the halfback pairing Ali Price and Ross Thompson.

Jamie Hodgson earns his first start of the season, partnering Grant Gilchrist in the second row, while captain Jamie Ritchie and No 8 Magnus Bradbury complete the back row.

Ben Muncaster, also promoted to the starting XV, starts at openside flanker following an impressive cameo at Ellis Park, where he crossed the whitewash.

On the challenges posed by the Stormers, former Sharks boss Everitt said, “They bring similar threats to the Lions and Vodacom Bulls, but we know if we perform at our best, we can get a result.”
