Aphiwe Dyantyi has agreed to join the Vodacom Bulls from the start of the Currie Cup, while the Sharks are looking to bolster their pack with a Springbok.

According to Sunday newspaper Rapport, Dyantyi will complete his move to Pretoria on 1 July, after signing a two-year contract with the Vodacom Bulls.

The move comes after Dyantyi was granted an early exit from his two-year contract with the Sharks.

Dyantyi joined the Sharks after completing his four-year doping ban, but was allowed to leave after a season that has yielded just seven starts and no tries for the 2018 World Rugby Breakthrough Player of the Year.

The Bulls have pounced for Dyantyi’s signature as the URC finalists look to boost their depth on the wing during the upcoming Currie Cup, where they will be without Kurt-Lee Arendse, Canan Moodie and Willie le Roux.

Meanwhile, the Sharks have targeted the signing of a Springbok forward, due to the uncertainty around Coenie Oosthuizen’s future.

Oosthuizen’s career is under threat due to a neck injury, with the Sharks reportedly looking to sign four-Test Lions tighthead prop Ruan Dreyer as a replacement.
