The Vodacom Bulls have completed the acquisition of Cheetahs prop Alulutho Tshakweni from next season.

A former Junior Springbok who represented Border at U18 Academy Week and Craven Week, Tshakweni has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the Bulls.

The 25-year-old loosehead has also played in the Pro14 and the EPCR Challenge Cup.

He won the Currie Cup with the Cheetahs in 2023 and is no stranger to Pretoria, after a loan spell with the Bulls U21s in 2018.

The Hudson Park High alum returns to Loftus Versfeld until July 2026.

“This is a huge privilege and honour for me to be here. I cannot wait to get to share what I have to offer with everyone,” Tshakweni said.

“This club presents a wonderful opportunity for me to get experience in the Vodacom URC and the Champions Cup, both international competitions that will help me grow and become a better player over and above the most important competition in South Africa, the Currie Cup.

“This is an exciting move for me and I cannot wait to get started.”
