A leading UK newspaper has predicted a clean sweep for the world champion Springboks during a three-Test northern hemisphere tour in November.
Rassie Erasmus’ charges will bring the curtain down on their 2024 home calendar when they tackle Argentina at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday. A win for South Africa will see skipper Siya Kolisi and his teammates lift the Rugby Championship trophy for the first time since 2019.
The Boks will kick off their campaign against Scotland at Murrayfield on 10 November, and The Telegraph forecasts a similar outcome to their 2023 Rugby World Cup group-stage encounter, where South Africa overpowered the Scots 18-3.
“It’s hard not to see a repeat result at Murrayfield,” they write, predicting a 20-3 win for the Boks.

Next up is a highly anticipated clash against England at Twickenham, where the hosts will seek revenge for their World Cup semi-final heartbreak last year.
However, The Telegraph expects the Boks to maintain their dominance with a 21-15 victory, stating, “The Boks are world class from one to 15, and even home advantage is unlikely to be enough for England.”
Finally, the Boks will take on a rebuilding Wales side at the Principality Stadium. Despite the fierce Welsh crowd, The Telegraph expects Erasmus’ men to be too strong, recalling Wales’ heavy 41-13 defeat to the Boks earlier this year.
“You have to fear the worst for Warren Gatland’s men,” they write, and tip the South Africans to triumph 33-9.
