Springbok scrumhalf Jaden Hendrikse will make his long-awaited return from injury for the Sharks XV in the Currie Cup clash with the Griquas on Sunday.

Having recovered from the shoulder injury he suffered four months ago, Hendrikse will start for the Sharks XV in Durban, with Bradley Davids playing off the bench.

Hendrikse’s return is one of three changes made by head coach JP Pietersen to the side that drew 44-44 with the Pumas in Nelspruit.

In the only change to the pack, Mawande Mdanda gets a start at tighthead prop in place of Trevor Nyakane, who is left out of the matchday-23 after making his Sharks XV debut at Mbombela Stadium.

Meanwhile Yaw Penxe is back on the wing for Jaco Williams.
