Springboks Ruan Venter and Quan Horn have been recalled to the Lions’ starting lineup for the Currie Cup semi-final against the Cheetahs in Johannesburg on Saturday.
Lions head coach Mziwakhe Nkosi has named a fresh-looking backline for the Currie Cup semi-final clash with the defending champions at Ellis Park.
Horn comes in at fullback, with Tapiwa Mafura shifting to the wing, while Marius Louw slots in at inside centre alongside Rynhardt Jonker.
Nico Steyn and Kade Wolhuter have been retained as the halfback pair after starting in the final-round 62-5 win against the Griffons.
There are three changes to the pack: Venter replaces Siba Qoma at blindside flank, while captain Jaco Visagie is flanked by props Morgan Naude and Asenathi Ntlabakanye.
Qoma, Sanele Nohamba and JC Pretorius will provide impact from the bench.
