Japanese club Urayasu D-Rocks have confirmed the signing of World Cup-winning Springbok loose forward Jasper Wiese from next season.
The powerful No 8 parted ways with English outfit Leicester Tigers at the end of last season, and will link up with former Lions coach Johan Ackermann in Japan after previously being linked with a big-money move to Top 14 side Stade Francais.

Wiese is currently completing an eight-match suspension, ruling him out of the July series between the Boks and Ireland in the Republic, having received a red card for a dangerous tackle in his final match for Leicester against the Exeter Chiefs.
The 28-year-old joined the Tigers in 2020 from the Cheetahs, becoming an instant fan favourite, and added 2023 World Cup winner to his CV during his tenure at Welford Road.
