Two-time Springbok World Cup winner RG Snyman is included in the Leinster match-day 23 to face the Lions in Saturday’s top-of-the-table Vodacom URC clash in Dublin.

It’s the final round of the opening block of 2024-25 URC matches before the international break, and the only two unbeaten teams will go head to head at the Aviva Stadium.

Snyman, who joined Leinster this season from Irish rivals Munster, made his mark as Man of the Match in a dominant win for Leo Cullen’s charges over Connacht last week.

TEAM: Lions boosted for table-topping clash

Cullen has shuffled his team for the showdown, making 10 changes this week. Among the notable inclusions is Ireland international Robbie Henshaw, making his season debut from injury to join Hugh Cooney in the midfield.

Sam Prendergast steps in at flyhalf, partnering scrumhalf Luke McGrath, while Hugo Keenan anchors the backfield with James Lowe and Andrew Osborne on the wings.

In the forwards, Snyman partners Ryan Baird in the second row, with Caelan Doris captaining the side from No 8, supported by flankers Max Deegan and Josh van der Flier.

The replacements include the experienced Andrew Porter and the promising Stephen Smyth.
