After back-to-back Tests – and victories – against the All Blacks in South Africa earlier this year, it’s now been confirmed where and when the Springboks will face their arch-rivals in 2025.
First up, the Springboks will head back to Eden Park for the first time in 12 years in a highly anticipated return to New Zealand soil next year, looking to secure a first Test win for any nation at the All Blacks’ Auckland fortress since 1994.
South Africa have played just once in New Zealand since 2019, but they would love nothing more than to end New Zealand’s 50-Test unbeaten run at Eden Park when they clash on 6 September in Auckland.
After that battle, the Springboks will then head to Sky Stadium in Wellington for their second clash against the All Blacks on Saturday, September 13 as they target a defence of their Rugby Championship title. At both venues, the Springboks have only ever picked up one victory in their history.
So what time will these matches kick off in South Africa? It has now been confirmed that both Tests in Auckland and Wellington will get under way at 08:05 in Mzansi, so make sure to jot that down in your rugby calendars for September next year.
The Springboks-All Blacks Tests will be a highlight of the 2025 season
Looking back at this past year, South Africa finished the year as the top team on the world rankings with a rewarding 11 victories in 13 Tests.
The Springboks will undoubtedly look to build on this success next season when they face Italy and Georgia in the Incoming Series in South Africa in July, and home Tests in the Rugby Championship against Australia – who they defeated twice in succession abroad this season – as well as Argentina.
