Willie le Roux has made 98 appearances in the green and gold jersey to date.
Le Roux, is bidding to become just the eighth South African to reach the magical three-figure mark – and the fourth backline player to do so.
Meanwhile, Kolisi stands on 92 Test caps.
It’s worth remembering that 945 players have pulled the famed green and gold jersey over their heads since 1891.
The Springboks have nine confirmed Tests in 2025, with at least three – maybe four – more end-of-year fixtures in the pipeline.
That should be more than enough for Le Roux and Kolisi to join the 100-Test club.
Meanwhile, Damian de Allende, with 87 Tests to date, would need to play ever Test next year to reach 100.
However, he’s likely to be rested against minnows Italy and Georgia in mid-year.
