The Springboks can’t seem to catch a break. Yet another player has had to undergo surgery.

Springboks loose forward, Elrigh Louw is the latest player to be hospitalized.

Furthermore, he joins a long list of Boks currently sidelined.

SPRINGBOKS FORWARD UNDERGOES SURGERY

Louw limped off the field during the Bulls 35-22 victory over the Lions in the United Rugby Championship. The powerful flanker was stretchered off after taking a big hit from Lions flanker, Ruan Venter to his right knee.

Moreover, Louw’s blow was serious with the stern loose forward recently going under the knife.

Thankfully, his surgery went well. The Bulls forward took to social media to update fans after his succussful surgery.

“Long and uncertain road ahead, but I WILL be back,” Louw posted on Instagram.

However, at the time of publication the extent of his injury has not been publically disclosed.

Meaning, Bulls and Springboks fans can expect an update in the next few days and weeks. Ultimately, it depends on how he recovers following his surgery. Stay tuned to The South African as we update you on Louw’s injury as it is disclosed.

Louw joins ten other Springboks who are currently nursing injuries.
