Erasmus talks to Springbok players and fans

Following shoulder surgery after the Autumn Series, during which they defeated all three opponents by no less than nine points, Erasmus confirmed he was okay, and then turned his attention to the players and fans, saying, “I wanted to thank the fans for the amazing support this year. Even when we tried some things and things weren’t going well, you were always standing behind us.”

“To our players who made it into the Dream XV and Sacha nominated and almost got it there, we are all proud of those guys,

“I hope you have a great time over the festive season. Fortunately, we have the URC now and some of the boys are playing, to all the fans I hope you have good holidays.

“Let’s stay nice and humble, support each other and help us keep our feet on the ground. We play for you guys and for South Africa, also for those abroad who understand and see what we stand for as the Springboks – I appreciate that a lot.

“At the end of the day, it is all just a game that we are all proud of. Merry Christmas and hope you all have a lekker festive time. I will probably only hop on Twitter next (year) again. Cheers.”
