As announced late last year, the Springboks and All Blacks will revert to traditional tours, starting next year when they are scheduled to play three tour Tests against each other.

And to accommodate the ‘Greatest Rugby Rivalry’ tour on the already congested Test calendar, the Rugby Championship will be truncated, with the Boks and All Blacks playing just one match each against Australia and Argentina in the tournament, respectively.

As per the organisers, the All Blacks will play eight games on South African soil over a two-month period, three Tests against the Springboks, one match each against the four URC franchises, and one against South Africa A.

However, according to a new report by reputable Afrikaans newspaper Rapport, an additional Tests between the two nations are in the works and it will be played at a neutral venue, possibly in London or the US.

If a fourth Test is added to the tour, it would be the first time the Boks faced the All Blacks in more than three Tests in a calendar year since in 1996, when Sean Fitzpatrick’s side won a historic 2-1 series in South Africa following the Tri-Nations.

SHOULD THE SPRINGBOKS AND ALL BLACKS PLAY AT A NEUTRAL GROUND?
